Waiākea Peninsula
Master Plan
Waiākea Peninsula, located on the shore of Hilo Bay between downtown Hilo and the community of Keaukaha, is a gathering place for both Hilo residents and visitors. It is a familiar and cherished place that draws the community together for celebrations, cultural events and ocean and outdoor recreational activities. It is also a visitor destination framed by the iconic Banyan Drive and Hilo’s largest hotels.
